Washington State Pre-licensing Requirements
Pre-licensing Requirements for the lines of Life, Disability, Property, Casualty, Personal lines.
- You are required to pass a state exam in order to get an insurance license.
- You will need to pass a separate exam for each line of insurance you require.
- You need a separate certificate of completion for each exam.
- You will receive a certificate for an exam after completing 20 hours of pre-licensing education.
- You may schedule an exam after obtaining a certificate.
- You may schedule your fingerprints at the same time.
- You may apply for your license once you have passed an exam (a score of 75% is passing).
