Washington State Statutes and Regulations Prelicense Education
Agents who have relocated to Washington State can obtain a waiver for the general knowledge sections of an insurance exam if the agent was licensed in his/her previous resident state for at least two years prior to relocation. Contact the Office of the Insurance Commissioner to apply for a waiver. Agent's must pass a 25-question Washington Statutes and Regulations exam for each line (life, disability, property & casualty). Prior to taking an exam the agent must complete a four-hour (regardless of the number of tests required) pre-license course. Certification can be obtained in a classroom setting, self-paced in our computer learning center or a combination of these.
The live lecture course is part of either a life/disability class or a property/casualty class. Call our Federal Way Location for class time.
