  1. You will be downloading the reading app from Amazon to your computer.
  2. When directed to the Amazon website ("Read Anywhere with our free reading apps"), you will be asked to choose whether you will be using a PC, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone 7, or BlackBerry. Click on the appropriate one.
  3. It will then list the requirements for your computer, which are very minimal. Choose "Download now"
  4. "Opening KindleForPC-installer.exe" appears. Click "Save File"
  5. "KindleForPC-installer.exe" will appear on the desktop. (You may not see it if the browser is covering the desktop, so "minimize" the browser (Explorer, Firefox, etc.)
  6. Double click "KindleForPC-installer.exe" on your desktop.
  7. Select "Run"
  8. Register to get started with your Amazon email address and password, or create a new Amazon account.
